    Nice to see a gang in the Knavesmire tonight too, incl some new members. Good craik about mountains till nearly chucking out time:- quite like old times even.

    PS Going up the east side of Loch Lomond you will walk through the territory of Rob Roy, close to his home and his burial place. “A type of mountaineer not found in Scotland nowadays” in the words of that superlative Scottish mountaineer, Bill Murray. I cannot recommend highly enough, W H Murray’s book about Rob Roy, and it gives quite a lot of meaning to the area through which the walk passes. A
