It looks like we’re in for another period of settled, dry weather so outdoor activities may still be on the cards.
Tuesday will be the usual Red Goat social. I can’t make it but expect that some will be there from 5 onwards.
Thursday evening will be club climbing at Harrogate Wall. 5pm start for me and heading into Rooster’s Tap Room after. There may be new members joining us at the wall this week so it should be a good opportunity to meet people with a view to outside climbing, walking and mountaineering.
The first Aid course still has availability. Please take a look at the forum post https://www.yorkmc.org.uk/topic/first-aid-2026/ and support the course if you can and if you feel that you would benefit from the practical training on offer. I personally feel a lot happier knowing that the people around me have some sense of what to do should the proverbial hit the fan.
The Glan Dena trip in October is a bit slow to get off the ground but hopefully, before too long, there will be a rush of information and an even quicker rush of names put forward to attend. Check the events page for the dates and standby.
Cheers!
