This year the First Aid course will take place over two days in the weekend of 28-29 November in the Heslington Scout hut. It’s recommended to take this course every three years.
The initial cost is £100 per person, with refunds of £25 after the course, provided we have enough participants. As far as I know, in previous years we’ve always been able to refund and bring the cost down to £75.
In detail, it is 2-day First Aid Course leading to a Rescue Emergency Care (REC) Level 2 certificate, also known as a 2-day Outdoor First Aid course, and which is valid for a period of 3 years. This course is recognized by various National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for outdoor activities like canoeing, mountain leading, and more.
