Ingleby Greenhow walk

A beautiful day saw Steve G, Bev, Caroline, Dave, Anna, myself and Hal take the track up the forest from Ingleby Greenhow onto the exposed Moors, where the view stretched miles north.  The wind was fierce and cold if you stopped for any length of time, but the company was great and the walk stretched everyone’s legs as we walked along the moorland track.  We dipped into a lovely dip surrounded what would have been an old mining hut for a lovely lunch where Hal got some lovely treats.  The steep decent was a test for everyone’s knees before we criss crossed across some fields in some lovely sunshine before washing out boots in the river by the ford at the church back at Ingleby before tea and cake was supplied by the infamous Bev.

The route was 10 miles in length.
