Injury is no good Dave! Not when there are finally decent conditions… For anyone who is keen, Glen Nevis SYHA currently has beds available, but Glencoe doesn’t.

The updated mwis forecast looks good for Saturday, with the W Highlands looking best (fairly light winds, 70% chance cloud-free summits, -2 @ 900m), so I’m keen to go for it, maybe staying in Glencoe or Fort William. Who else is up for it? Maybe worth booking accommodation today/tomorrow.

Updated MWIS forecast for the Lakes tomorrow looks very good. Cloud-free summits almost certain, -4C at 750m and extensive sunshine. Maybe a bit breezy but not too bad. Maria and I will be heading over there early tomorrow morning, with route choice depending on conditions reports from today. If there’s a chance of things being properly frozen then we may take a look at Brown Cove Crags, but open to suggestions. Who’s in? Happy to give a couple of people a lift.

That depends whether I end up in Scotland or not… If not, I might be up for a hill day in the lakes, maybe with a bit of wintry scrambling?

Clearly weather-dependent, but I’ve provisionally booked Fri 20th & Mon 23rd off work, hoping for a long weekend in Scotland. Also interested in other weekends.
