Embarrassingly, I’m going to have to bump my own post. It’s now even more difficult to identify my club T-shirt as having anything to do with YMC, given the amount of fading that has occurred.

Any thoughts on a new club T-shirt?

    Nick,

Many thanks for this. I’m afraid that I won’t be able to attend due to work commitments.

    Cheers,

    Giles

As I’ll be arriving early on the Friday and would like to get away relatively early on Sunday, my thoughts are as follows:

Friday: if the weather stays as forecast, shopping in Ambleside (new daysack needed) and then probably Jack’s Rake.

Saturday: some multi-pitch if people are up for it (I’ve got the guidebook for Borrowdale) or else some scrambling or a good walk out – I try not to be a Wainwright-bagger but if tempted, I could go sommewhere in the Lakes I haven’t been to before.

Sunday: I’d like to be up and out realtively early. Happy to do micro-nav for them as wants it or a quick trip out on an accessible scramble or something similar.

I have some kit to sell and am happy if people want to try the stuff out before buying:

Scarpia Arpia climbing shoes size 9
A Jottnar waterproof jacket – red size medium
A Kimmlite 30L daysack – battered but still usable

Anyone interested, please drop me a line on (ideally) WhatsApp.

    Cheers

    Dear all,

On this trip, I’m planning to be in the Lakes early(ish) on the Friday and be getting away lunchtime(ish) on the Sunday.

My bucket list event is to get Jack’s Rake in (on Pavey Ark) and perhaps some multi-pitching as well if the weather allows and people want to do it. Otherwise, I’m pretty footloose and fancy-free depending on what people what to do.

Chatting with Dave and Nathan last night, we threw a few ideas around. One of these was to do some navigation stuff for them as wants it which, with my SML hat on, I’ll be happy to square away.

    Cheers,

    Giles

    Jez,

No worries. It’s not a YMC event but a work one. Thanks anyway.

    See ya,

    Giles
