    A friend from Huddersfield told me that there was talk of a climbers co-op potentially getting started to look into running it, as Kirklees Council don’t have the climbing skills/experience to run it. The company mentioned above apparently exercised the 3 year get out clause in the contract for whatever reason.

    It’s a fantastic facility and surely can’t be left closed permanently.

    Hi Matt. I prefer OS maps personally. I like their clarity and incredible detail, both for mountains & lowland, and for finding that tiny yellow lane in the middle of Devon. That said Harvey’s are good with their contour colour scheme and the 40k scale might be better for the larger Scottish landscape. And Harvey’s are waterproof & light.
