Having just seen the Look North weather on telly, it looks like showers everywhere this evening, even Scugdale.
So off to the mystery destination of H……… W… it must be, I reckon

I think phones work at Scuggie.
For Ampitheatre Buttress (assuming we go there) continue up the wall past the rightmost end of Scot Crags (Curtain Slab) and up to a stile on the moor top.
Across the stile there is a path along the top edge. Ampitheatre is about 100 metres along. Might be quiet if the rest is busy

Unfortunately it looks as though I will spend much of Friday in Preston Hospital where my wife’s mother is approaching her fourth week of internment.
The plan is to sleep back at York so I may be able to join for a beer or 3 later on.

Tenk…… have a good trip and I hope that you get your targets. If the Corryhully Horseshoe is not done, then maybe in 2 weeks’ time ?

As to climbing, the norwegians at http://www.yr.no/place/United_Kingdom/England/Swainby/ think that Scugdale will be pretty dry, part sunny with a gentle breeze at 16 degrees. So Steve and I plus Angela are willing to risk it.
Marjan do you want collecting at Knavesmire ?
(Bring warm layer & waterproof just in case.)
