    PaulTheWeatherman (Look North) confidently asserts that the rain clearance is currently passing Leeds (@ 13.45) and that late afternoon will be fine and bright.

    Scugdale is over 40 miles drive and somewhat limited car parking; so for these reasons it is best to car share if possible. If anyone wants a lift from York around 4.30 pm, phone or text. My number is on the Members List.

    Debbie, The crag is at Grid Ref 516004. A19 / A172 / turn right into Swainby Village. Drive up the whole length of village then take a small road left across a ford to Scugdale. This road is followed for some 4.5 miles. Just before it ends at Scugdale Hall Farm there is parking for about 6 cars. The rocks are visible 5 mins walk up the hillside. Ring mobile no if you cannot see us when you get up to the rocks
