The Winter Weekend trip for 2024 will be on the Friday 23rd to Sunday the 25th of February. Two nights accommodation have been booked in the Alex MacIntyre Memorial Hut in North Ballachulish and all 16 beds are exclusively for York MC. https://www.mountaineering.scot/clubs/huts/national-huts/alex-macintyre
The location of the hut is perfectly situated for Glencoe and the Ben Nevis area. All grades of mountaineering are within easy reach. The Hut is right beside the main A82 road and there is private car parking immediately behind the building.
The winter weekend is open to all members, however, because of the committing nature of winter mountaineering experience levels may have to be taken into account when allocating places. The cost for the weekend is £50. There will be a communal meal in the hut on Saturday evening.
Anyone interested in joining the trip should first contact me directly through email, text, here or on WhatsApp to reserve a place. Your place will then be confirmed on receipt of payment into the Club bank account.
If the weather is good and members want to extend their stay either before or after the weekend it may be possible to negotiate an extra night or two in the hut.
