The Aviemore trip is not far away. All 18 of us on the previous post have paid for the trip and have a space in one of the four rooms which are booked from Friday night until Monday morning. I will allocate people to rooms nearer to the time when we have some idea about who is travelling when and who is teamed up together.
At the moment there are three members on the list who have not renewed their club membersip for 2026. Please check who you are and pay your renewal fee of £38 for the year. If your club membership is not valid in time for the trip you will not be able to go and you will only get a refund if a reserve takes your place. If anyone is unable to go to Aviemore please let me know asap so so your place in the hostel may be offered to another member.
The Tamanna Indian Restaurant has been booked for 18 of us on the Saturday night. If there are extra members planning to be in Aviemore and want to join us at the restaurant please let me know and I will update the booking. In a week or so I will create a WhatsApp group for the trip and any additional club members who are self accommodating will be able to join the group and keep in touch with the main party.
The Fox pub night is next Thursday, the 5th of February. For those not in regular contact or who have not yet made plans this is a very useful opportunity to get together and begin to sort out your intentions for the winter weekend. Hope to see you there. I have some spare equipment that I can loan out and can take maps and climbing guidebooks to the pub to help people with their planning.
