    im a friday to sunday person. im not that bothered which way i go via, but I’m planning to leave around lunchtime on friday as its a long drive up

    Peri, it would be great if I could get a lift with you please… Let me know what time you will be in Penrith. I will either get a lift there, or get the train to Penrith (there are lots of trains!). H x

    i will probably leave york about 1pm. google maps says 2 hours to penrith,so say 3pm

    Peri – no worries, I understand, and yes better to leave early. It is just unfortunate I have used up all my leave! The onus is on me to be available to fit in with drivers… it is fine.
