The first Thursday of September is this week. Knavesmire night on Thursday!

Tuesday will be my weekly social at the Red Goat. Maybe I’ll fit in some climbing before it’s time for pizza. I’ll be at the Goat from about 5.

Giles is looking at climbing on Wednesday so any interested parties please contact him asap.

Thursday will be an early start for anyone lucky enough to get to Almscliff. Harrogate wall is the venue for an evening climb for those starting later. I’ll be available for an afternoon or early evening session at Almscliff. If anyone else is interested, please let me know. The weather looks like it should play ball. I will leave the crag at 7pm to get to the Knavesmire for 8.

Everyone is welcome to the Knavesmire to meet and discuss ideas. There are several trips already confirmed and more will be happening in the near future. All members are welcome to join Club trips whether for walking, climbing, scrambling or any other mountaineering activity. Those interested in walking or Scrambling with the Club can see an example of a route around Tryfan (September trip) here https://www.ukscrambles.com/wales-scrambles/tryfan-north-ridge-scramble/?utm_content=cmp-true and can discuss the possibility of doing such a route.

The trip to El Chorro in November is a certainty. The two trips to Wales in September and October are booked and filling up but not everyone has confirmed their attendance. Please pay up soon or you may lose your place. Refer to Emma’s posts on the forum for details.

The weather forecast remains good all through to next week. At the weekend Charley is optimistic for the Yorkshire 3 Peaks and others may be interested in climbing or walking. I’m not around this weekend. Please post your ideas here or on WhatsApp if you’re looking for company to do anything over this week, or beyond.

    Cheers!

    Dave M
