Another fine, warm and dry week is on the cards. Perhaps there will be a deterioration towards the end of the weekend. Outdoor activity is recommended while the going is good so feel free to make your own plans. I understand that Giles and Chess are heading to Ilkley on Tuesday afternoon, posting on WhatsApp.
Red Goat will be my plan for this Tuesday evening. I have to be in York for another matter so expect to be at the Goat for 5 but probably no pizza for me. Also planning ahead to the Llanberis trip so I’ll bring some guide books with me.
Thursday club climbing is aimed at Scugdale. I’ll try to get there for about 4pm but will leave early due to the club trip departing on Friday morning. Parking is limited at Scugdale so share lifts wherever possible and park carefully/respectfully. The Black Horse in Swainby is the venue of choice post-climb.
This weekend there’s a big group of us heading to Wales for Oli B’s trip to Llanberis. Staying at Beudy Mawr Cottage. Fingers crossed for the weather lasting throughout the weekend and my climbing and scrambling guides are full of post-it notes to cater for all eventualities.
Reminder that the Fox Pub night will be the following week on Thursday the 4th of June. If the weather’s good enough for outdoors climbing we’ll be heading to Almscliff.
Cheers!
