In July there are a few of us heading to Skye to climb and to walk. The Glenbrittle Hut https://gbmh.co.uk/ is available for individual bookings if anyone wants to join for a few days.

So far, I am going with Emma W to climb some of the routes we’d aimed for last May when the weather wasn’t good enough on the nearby Cuillin Ridge. We have booked beds from the 17th of July for 5 nights, departing on the 22nd. Phil H and Virginie have also booked into the hut for the same dates but as yet I’m not sure of their plans. Others are interested and will join the trip for a few days, possibly as part of a broader, Scottish tour.

The school summer holiday period is often tricky to get a formal group together on a full club trip so this one is self-help so far as organisation is concerned. If you would like to come to Skye and stay in Glenbrittle Hut please make your own plans, maybe with a climbing or walking partner and book your own accomodation. Please let me know if you’re coming and nearer the date we may be able to coordinate a meal or social gathering.

    Cheers!

I’m keen to get up to Skye and fill in the Munro gaps. I’ll be van-ing it and staying at glen brittle campsite just down road from hostel.

    Hi Dave,

If the weather’s good I’ll be keen for climbing, would plan to camp nearby (per usual 🙂 )
