    I will be going to Scotland to do the Strathfarrar Munro’s on the weekend of 3-4 October.
    I hope to do these on the Saturday and will take a bike rack on my car in order to MTB back to the car.
    I have the option to extend the weekend and do more which also benefit from a mountain bike (Fannichs and Fisherfield).
    If there is no interest in extending the weekend I intend to do Beinn Dearg in the Cairngorms on Sunday, again using the bikes.
    Accomodation will probably be at Cannick Friday night, must leave my place (Boroughbridge) just after lunch Friday 2 October, I will don’t intend picking people up from York.

    Bon aventure, mon ami !
    Ralph Storer particularly recommends Strathfarrar’s autumn colour.
    I regret I can not come along: we are away on holiday in early October.
    When I last did these hills with Paul and Michael last year, I peeled off at Sgurr a’Choire Ghlais whose long S. ridge leads back to the car: so if there is an accomplice, that might be useful.
    If the date slips (bad weather) I’d be up for a trip late October before the gate closes.

    Change of plan due to illness and other thimgs.
    Will discuss tonight at the wall and pub.
