After checking the Blackburn Rovers calendar, it has transpired that my missis will be away shouting at the goalie, so I have arranged with my friend Paul to go north that weekend.

Our prime objective will be Gulvain, just west of Fort William, because this is one of Paul’s rapidly-diminishing “stock’ of Munros, now in single figures.
I did this hill on 26th January 2002 with Richard Harrison so its quite feasible as a single day at this time of year, despite the 6.5 km walk-in. (Unless the weather is appalling of course)
I’m away from Wednesday 30th until October 15th

It will be Pauls turn to take his car so having added 900 miles or so to mine last weekend, I’m not planning to drive further than Carlisle hence if other folks are interested some other vehicles may be needed

    Hi Andy
I’m not sure if I can make this weekend but will keep you posted.

Hmmm I might be able to do the Corryhully Horseshoe – traverse of Sgurr Thuilm and Sgurr nan Coireachan.
We can speak in the week.
