For those of us considering tackling the odd sea stack… This is quite inspirational. For those who just enjoy being outdoors and take for granted our ability to just bimble up a few munros when the fancy takes us, I guess there’s something for you to take away too.

Michelle fell during a climbing trip to Wales about 3 years ago, and her injuries left her unable to use her legs. She’s now planning on scaling the Old Man of Hoy, and the links below tell you some of the story. There’s also a link in there to the Calvert Trust, who’ve helped Michelle and others like her to get back into doing the things they love. Donations are bound to be appreciated.

I know Michelle from the work I’ve been doing in Manchester over the last couple of years, and I’ve spoken to her a few times about this adventure. It’s taking a lot of graft and dedication on her part, both in terms of physical training and organising everything, but it’s all part of her journey and I think she’s now feeling like it’s really going to happen.
