    Just a quick recommendation regarding marking kit. This firm – https://www.toughtags.co.uk/ – make very good waterproof labels for climbing gear (amongst other things).

    Seconded. I’ve used Toughtags for quite a good few years. You can specify name and contact details and I’ve more than once had lost gear returned. The tags are self adhesive and will stick to trekking poles and all sorts of stuff.
