As mentioned in the WhatsApp group, Gav and I will be climbing in Ennerdale on the weekend of 29-30 July – assuming it’s good enough weather. The plan is to camp close to Pillar Rock and get in some routes on Pillar Rock itself and, if the weather is good enough, sleep on top of it on the Saturday night.

The plan will build a bit more as we get closer to the time but that’s the basic gist. The idea was to keep costs down and get in as much climbing as possible. For the older members of the group, it will be a bit of a Brown-Whillans weekend.

If anyone wants to join us, you’ll be more than welcome. You’ll need a tent (Gav and I will be bivvy bagging), a sleeping bag, a stove, some food and your climbing gear.
For those who need it, the pub will be a bit of a walk away but then you can’t have everything.

Sounds like a Top plan, my bivy bag needs blowing off cob webs, perfect.
