Aside from what I suggested at the AGM (which Ben and I still plan to do), the Eagles Ski Club are running a day’s course on rope skills for Ski Mo at Mt Cook Adventure Centre, Matlock between 10am and 4pm on Saturday 13th Jan. Cost is £40.
Andrew Mirelman (Alabama) and I are both going, room in my car for 2 (comfortable), 3 (squash and a squeeze) leaving Harrogate 0730; Alabama is getting a train from York that arrives into Harrogate at ~0730.
    It can be booked here
Any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch.
    Cheers
    Andy

    Sorry! Details below:
    DESCRIPTION
    Ropework for Ski Mountaineering

This is a day to revise and practise existing skills, and learn new ones. The day will cover all the elements of ropework for ski mountaineering from kit selection, through how and when to move together to detailed crevasse rescue practise.

It will be run by Neil Thompson MIA and Nick Willis IFMGA. There will be both indoor and outdoor sessions.

Participants should bring their own glacial travel equipment, including ropes wherever possible so that you can practise with what you usually use. Bring a packed lunch and plenty of warm clothes!

This course needs a minimum of 8 Eagles to run.
