With the weather looking set to stay fair, but with sunset at about 19.45, I suggest that perhaps a dual-venue of an early Almscliff session followed by a couple of hours at HCW might be a good compromise to make best use of the conditions but still get a meaningful bit of climbing done…
“slippery, polished, overly familiar Almscliff” I hear muttered from the sidelines – Well: there were only three of us there last week, and it’s a good year since I did Whisky Crack, or Birds nest Crack, and Zig-Zag Direct has its small but very vocal followers – so that is my suggestion.
I might be heading there straight from work in Leeds, though that plan could possibly change depending on who decides to do what, transport / lift requirements, or anybody having a better idea.

Whatever is concluded, we need to get out climbing. Because it’s Thursday.
