The weather is forecast for the wind to drop, and the showers to become “more scattered” this afternoon. So is this a hint to go to Almscliff i.e. with Harrogate Wall as the bolt hole ? (Having spent 7 hours running sessions at Almscliff between showers last Friday, I am grateful for its quick-drying nature !)
Open to other suggestions, lifts available. Brimham likely to be damp trogging through bracken though.

are we not still heading to ilkley? I like almscliff so am always happy to go there, if at all windy anywhere else though its likely to be absolutely wild at almscliff, and I can see the trees waving around enthusiastically out of my window righ now

There was certainly a plan for Ilkley last week, but of course it was rained off. My thought of Almscliff was because it will dry quickly (and wind is forecast to drop away this afternoon) and we can nip to the wall if it does rain. If there’s a strong preference for Ilkley I’d tag along, but with Ilkley Moor full of rainwater, I suspect the rock may stay wetter (?). The bracken in Rocky valley will be wet too !

I can’t make tonight because of work commitments.
