At our really nice buffet and drinky session last night the suggestion of a Boxing Day walk in the Yorkshire Dales taking in the waterfall of Kidson Force and Swinner Gill Lead Mines was well received.
Its best to park at the West of Muker Village in a Layby (SD 905 978) at the side of road at 11:00am.
The walk I have suggested is just over 10km/6miles and it will be a good walk mainly along the valley of the River Swale.
As is usual this will not be a tough walk but a packed lunch will be required as will appropriate wet weather clothing.

I think that unfortunately I shall not be free this Boxing Day owing to being away in Lancashire and social events / childhood friend.

    Merry Christmas

We might have to re-schedule to another date (3rd Jan) given the recent weather forecast.

There is a weather warning in place for tomorrow so it’s sensible for safety reasons to postpone this event for now.
There may be an opportunity for a days winter walk/climb in the Lakes next week if conditions improve.
