    I am also looking to travel up on Friday afternoon from York. The added benefit is that my car already knows the way, having been to Braemar on numerous occasions. May I suggest a further discussion in the Pub?

    I’ll be going up Friday with Neil and Dan, leaving my place at approx 14:00.
    Will be taking ice axes / crampons as there will still be a lot for snow up there. The fresh snow might limit what we can achieve. We will be taking mountain bikes too, and we will be returning on Wednesday. There is the option to extend the stay which we will probably take advantage of.
