Munro Weekend 3-5th November.

The weekend weather forecast looked promising according to MWIS ,so i decided to head North in pursuit of a couple of Munros.

Upon arriving in Arrochar on the shores of Loch Long, not named for its length but the Gaelic for "ship lake" where Vikings once sailed up the Loch then dragged there Longships over 2 miles to Loch Lomond, presumably to carry on doing what Vikings did best.

This was my chosen spot for the night just up the road from the Succoth car park which was the start of my walk, this car park charges £1.00 per hour so don't hang around.

First summit of the day Beinn Narnain 926m
On to Beinn Ime 1011m
Looking back at the Cobbler

Later that day i travelled up to The Drovers Inn for a meal, after a quick word with the landlord, the car park would be my resting place for the night .The food at the Drovers was good quality and reasonably priced, the Loch Lomond Ale went down well too !

The following day found me parked up in the Inveruglas visitor centre car park (£4.00 all day, take note Succoth ) on the banks of Loch Lomond.

My objective today was Ben Vorlich 943m

Looking back towards Ben Lomond and the Loch
Almost to the summit
I was fortunate enough to have a few minutes of clear views before the clag drew in.

A great weekend .
