SpectatorHi Lucas,
Hoping to be at Kirkstone Pass for 12 noon in order to have lunch and then do the walk but am flexible regarding the time.
The walk is approximately 4 miles. The first section up to Red Screes is quite steep. I expect it to be quite boggy in places thereafter. Once looped round Middle Dodd and back onto the road further down from the car park it should be fairly easy walking.
It is possible to shorten the walk and descend from Middle Dodd but people have reported that recent rainfall has made the path difficult to find and very slippery.

SpectatorIf anyone would like a lift I plan on setting off from Harrogate / Skipton area on Friday morning. I aim to be at Kirkstone Pass for late morning to do Red Screes before arriving in Patterdale mid – late afternoon. Can’t check into the campsite until 12:00.
On one of the days I plan on walking Patterdale – Boredale Haus – Place Fell – Sleet Fell – Sandwick – Silver Point – Patterdale.
If the weather isn’t suitable for the fells then Patterdale – Grisedale – Grisedale Forest – Patterdale would be an alternative.
Last day hasn’t yet been worked out but I need to be off the campsite by 12:00
Oh … and I need to renew my club membership first.

SpectatorI’m the same as Giles in terms of sorting my diary as may or may not be in Zermatt.
Will sort my own accommodation out if I am able to come.
