Three 4-bed rooms in Aviemore Hostel have been booked for the Club Winter Weekend trip. We have a 3 nights for the price of 2 deal so it’s especially good value if you can make it for the long weekend. Friday the 20th of February is the arrival date and departure is Monday the 23rd which coincides with half-term holidays.

The Winter Weekend is open to every club member. However, there has to be a balance of experience and suitable equipment and fitness levels are required by all. Advice will be given if anyone is in doubt.
On Saturday evening we will go for a Club Curry Night. The restaurant is next door to the hostel. All other meals and hill food are your own responsibility and there is a Tesco supermarket in town so there’s no need to bring a car-full.
Car-sharing with others is recommended. There is a train station in Aviemore for those that prefer. If the winter conditions are good it may be possible to extend the weekend either before or after the dates. Extended days are arranged by the individual.
If you are interested in coming on the Winter Weekend please let me know either here or by direct message on WhatsApp. If the trip is over subscribed I will select by first names submitted but also allowing for a mix of experience. So far there is only one Scottish winter trip planned for 2026.
Payment for the trip will have a closing date, yet to be set, to guarantee your place. Do not pay until you have been told that you’re on the list. The cost for the trip is £67 which will be payable to the York MC bank account.
