Here we go! Another year but same old forum post. Happy New Year to everyone!
Same old format for the week ahead too. I’ll be at the Red Goat by about 5pm on Tuesday. I didn’t make any New Year Resolutions so I will be having a pizza after climbing. Hopefully there will be others at the Goat, whether dining or not.
Thursday evening will be club climbing at Harrogate Wall. I aim to be there for before 5pm and expect others to arrive as the evening progresses.
It’s a non-standard Fox pub night this week due to New Year last Thursday so I will head towards York to be at the Fox at about 8. For those hoping to get out during the winter season or anytime in the year ahead it’s a good place to meet up and to start making plans.
Membership fees are due for 2026. Please can you pay for your renewal by bank transfer rather than PayPal. It will avoid us having to pay transaction fees. Thanks to those that have renewed already and please be reassured that Derek will send your new 2026 membership card as soon as he can. He’s been busy in Scotland and probably just getting the feeling back in his fingers and toes.
I look forward to seeing everyone at the wall, the pub, on trips and anywhere else that we’re going to find ourselves this year. 2025 was a brilliant year and there are many good reasons why this year should be just as good or even better.
