So at Harrogate last night a bit of GroupThink resulted in the idea that Angela Loch and myself will travel to Rock City in one car (which thus has 1 spare seat) and Steve will collect Steve from Poppleton Station and drive to Hull (thus having 2 spare seats.
We have booked at Rock City at 11.00 allowing for travel time ie dep York about 9.45

The Wall offers bookings for 3-hour time slots so we expect to get chucked out at 14.00 or so. Might have to look for tea and scones on the way home.

Bookings to climb at Rock City have to be made at 15 minute intervals with — it would seem — 5 admissions every 15 mins. There is also a Membership Booking Form to complete before you arrive there.

I’m glad its not tomorrow. I’m too exhausted to climb after the booking process.

Hi All,

Just an update for Thursday. We have 3 tables of 6 booked for Thursday from 7:30pm. So seating enough for 18 plus standing space etc. So should be plenty of room for everyone.

The address for BrewYork is as below:

Unit 6, Enterprise Complex, Walmgate, York YO1 9TT

For those who don’t know where it is, next to El Paradiso Italian restaurant there is a set of metal security gates that leads to a bike shop on your left side. If you continue to the double door and you should enter the shop. The beer hall is the venue which is upstairs.

Obviously with covid on the rise again there is a risk to all those who attend. I would like to encourage everyone that is attending to take a lateral flow test the day of party. If you do have a positive lateral flow result please do no come.

Hello, thought I’d better (and rather late) put it in writing that I’m up for climbing at Hull tomorrow (I think it would be best for me to join Steve & Steve as travelling from Poppleton Station to Rock City will pass my house) and also for the xmas party (if there is space in the booking…)

Andrew I’ll text/whatsapp you about cars as I don’t seem to have a number for either Steve.
