Dave and I have booked the day off work and have planned an interesting and amusing outing for the full day of the York MC Xmas Bash. We are going on a trip to Rock City in Hull!
This is a repeat of our adventure last year, which involved a splendid extended session at Rock City; a superb and well set-up climbing and bouldering venue. If you’ve not been before then it comes well recommended http://rockcity.co.uk/climbing
Plan so far is:
Meet 8.30 – 9.00 at the Knavesmire (the bakers across the road does excellent bacon rolls btw)
Wander out to Hull and spend the better part of the day at Rock City. (take a jumper, it is a bit chillier than Harrogate wall)
A pre-party mini pub crawl (including the dangerous and exposed Bishopthorpe Traverse), a fish supper, and potential gradual accumulation of hangers-on in a procession to the Knavesmire for the Party.

After all it will be the shortest darkest day of the year, you can guarantee that nothing of interest will be happening at work; so why not take the day off and join us in some pre-Xmas festive foolishness! And it provides an excellent work-out before the next few days of excess)
