As every year (we even have trip reports!), the YMC is organising a 2-day First Aid Course in York, taught by a certified instructor.
This leads to a Rescue Emergency Care (REC) Level 2 certificate, also known as a 2-day Outdoor First Aid course. This course is recognized by various National Governing Bodies (NGBs) for outdoor activities like canoeing, mountain leading, and more.
The club is subsidising the course, so the expected cost is just £100—and if enough people join, it could go down to £75, like in previous years.
We’re aiming for the weekend of 6–7 December, but if you’re keen and that weekend doesn’t work for you, let me know—we may be able to shift the date.
