Just a couple of idle thoughts for anyone who’s interested in the musings of a middle-aged man…
Would anyone be interested in more club merchandise? The t-shirts are grand and we could extend the range if we wanted to – hoodies, sweatshirts, caps, climbing visors and the like. Any interest? Any proposals?
Also, Gav (sorry to drag you in, mate) and I were chatting the other day about some stuff that we (ie club members, not just Gav and I) could do such as:
Night bouldering (we’d need a clear night and to take a flask and a lot of warm kit)
Some sea cliff climbing (next spring on the east coast where’s there’s ice cream)
Sport climbing – there are some venues on limestone in Yorkshire
Any thoughts?
Hi Giles
Some good ideas there. I’m keen on sport climbing and I know of other members that are too.
Night bouldering sounds fun, would happily give it a go, maybe when it gets a bit warmer? Thinking I might stop feeling my fingers after the second boulder.
Not sure what sea cliff climbing entails, would like to learn more about it.
Cheers
Dan
I’d be interested in some club merch (missed out on the t-shirts last year). Maybe some patagucci gilets like investment bankers? 😉
I’d also be interested in doing some night nav practice, if anyone else fancies getting lost in the dark.
Hi Giles
I would definitely be interested in some sea cliffs, some more sport climbing and night bouldering could be a good laugh
Regarding club merchandise, it might be worth taking a poll of club members to see what people want. Some may want the t-shirt they’ve got and nothing else, some may want other types of clothing (hoodies, sweatshirts, caps etc) and some may want something like rope bags or water bottles. It all depends on what people want and what they are prepared to pay.
Any ideas?
