So confirming various conversations, my friend Paul and I had earmarked a number of weekends with a view to getting 2 Scotland trips if we can. One has already gone (rained) and the next is 29-30 October.
After that we are looking at November 12-13, 19-20, or 26-27.

Paul has 6 Munros left to do, and deducting one for his Compleation, and one to take his wife up, his remaining objectives are near Fort Bill, Beinn Fionnlaidh (I think, unless its the adjacent Beinn Sguliard) and Gulvain. The other two are Bruach na Frithe and Am Basteir. Obviously the Skye Munros at this season might be rather tricky to get done, or to get to. Our Club’s first Munroist Mike Spence once declared that doing the Munros is a great feat of motoring.

O’ course, if its poor in the west, we might find attractions in the Cairngorms. I never got to the north ridge of Angels Peak this summer, although that day now would be a torchlight start and finish

We’ll be seeing what the weather brings from mid-week

    Hi Andrew
October dates are out for me but any dates in November are fine for me.
    Cheers Steve

I’d love to join you, but I can only make the weekend of 26/27 November. So in case the weather is bad on the previous ones and you settle for this one, please let me know.

Well, mes enfants, Paul, Marjan and myself got a couple of cracking days at the end of October with Angel’s Peak NE Ridge and I’m hoping for another weekend this autumn. The weekend coming is not going to be the one, however, judging by todays MWIS outlook for Saturday, and the following weekend sees the closure of the M74 past Glasgow from Friday to Sunday, so there will be massive travel delays. Plus I think I’ll have a family commitment.
So I’m concentrating hopes on the weekend of 26th-27th November. If at all possible, we’ll go to the west for Beinn Sguliard and Gulvain but if the west is poor we’ll hope to enjoy some white stuff wherever we can
