Kelly Pike & I will be going to the Lakes on Saturday 29, we have a couple of Wainwrights walks to do around Skiddaw, there are varying lengths, 8, 10 and 15.5 km to choose from.
We won’t have space in the truck for transport and we aim to go to the Pub(s) in Caldbeck, or Hesket Newmarket for a beer before parking up either in Caldbeck (PC available) or camp near the road on the open ground North East of Carrock Fell (We’ve stayed here before).
The walks will be of a more leisurely nature as opposed to expeditions, all are welcome to join us.
This trip will depend on the weather being ok, we will not go if the weather is not good.

The weather is looking ok for the weekend.
We aim to be at Oddfellows Arms, Caldbeck and/or The Old Crown, Hesket Newmarket Saturday night, camping as above.
We might eat out but have not yet decided. Mobile reception is patchy around there. Sunday we will set off 10:00 from near Mirkholme/Peter House Farm North of Skiddaw. These are not big days as we have pup with us and he is still limited to small days out, it will be his first real day in the lakes.
