    Mike & Maria have discovered tonight that Lesmahagow Truck Stop on the M74 has started to close at 7.00 pm on Fridays.
    The tragic impact of this on those who expect an all-day breakfast en route to Highlands weekends cannot be overstated. It is possibly good news for the chip shops in Lockerbie once again.
    The M74 motorway has now become Desolation Row (for those who know their Bob Dylan)
