It has been suggested we start this thread a bit early to give time for thought. Following last week’s delightful outing, the Limestone Cowboys are thinking of going again, (subject to the weather forecast not changing in the meantime). Obviously those at the service of an employer may need to seek pleasures more easily reached, on grit.
Bull Scar is only the same mileage as Scugdale…. the issue being to get past Harrogate traffic. Last week it was 1hr 30 min outbound, 1hr 10 min return. More of the same is 5 mins further at Gate Cote Scar, possibly the best option.
I do recall Mr Green and myself climbing at Feizor Nick and coming back to the oub some years ago: but that’s another half hour so we were possibly out from early afternoon.

I’ll be up for Climbing but unfortunately won’t be able to get to limestone country. I’d be hitting Harrogate at 5:30 so would get well stuck.

Open to suggestions on grit venues though.

There is a small weather risk: but Steves. G and M, plus moi, have decided on another run west, to Gate Cote Scar. Nothing ventured…. especially as (owing to hols) I only expect another 3 Thursdays outside this year. Places in car, leaving Acomb 3 pm

Hope you have a great evening, would have loved to join you but sadly I’m in the thick of house moving so have to miss out this week.

Hope everyone going out has a great time and hope to see you all next week.
