Calling all York MC members!
As has started to become a sort of tradition over the past few years, Dave and I have booked the whole day off work on the day of our Xmas bash and plan to go to Rock City in Hull for some indoor climbing fun on one of the darkest days of the year Previously we have considered whether an outdoor venue might be a possibility but let’s be honest, reliable cragging is not likely in late December.
Anyhow we have a loose plan based on a rendezvous at about 9 ish in the morning – a drive across to Hull – a nice laid back day at Rock City (which is a superb venue with lots to go at https://rockcity.co.uk/climbing/ ) and a return back to York well in time for our annual Xmas bash!
I can’t recommend strongly enough the benefits to your wellbeing, morale, and pre-festive fitness in booking a day off work, and joining us for a day of not entirely serious climbing fun (there is even rumoured to be a Bishy Road pub crawl option upon our arrival back in York prior to the official Knavesmire bash – but you would need to be there to find out if this really happens…)
So, please, make a plan to come and and join us. All are welcome. Transport will be available – and you wont get anything done at work the thursday before Xmas – will you?
