We hold climbing sessions at least every Thursday evening. In the summer at local crags and in the winter at local climbing walls. Afterwards we meet up at The Knavesmire pub from 10pm onwards for a few drinks. The pub meeting is open to everyone, it is informal and often used as a springboard for arranging trips and events.
We organise trips to Scotland for winter mountaineering, summer hill walking or rock climbing; and mountaineering expeditions to the Alps. There are also lots of day trips to the Lakes, Dales, Moors or Peak District. Most trips are organised on an ad-hoc basis, enabling us to go away when the conditions are best. These informal trips are frequently arranged on Thursday evenings, or through the club forum. Check out our trip reports to see what a typical trip is like.
We also organise more formal trips and recently, we have had trips to Newtonmore (Mar 2018), Torridon (May 2017), and Patterdale (July 2017) .
Forthcoming trips are below:
Winter Weekend , 15-17 Mar 2019

As the above are winter trips, anyone who wishes to attend will need to have appropriate experience and equipment. If you are unsure, ask one of the committee regarding requirements.
