Ankle sprain permitting, I hope to be in the Lakes on Sunday 12th February and in Scotland on either 18th/19th or 25th/26th February.
Anyone else ?

I'd love to head out this weekend (18/19), but don't have much technical winter experience – so if you want to let me know what the plan is, and so long as I wouldn't be holding you back in any way, I'd could really use to get out to the lakes this weekend! Thanks :)

As I've also emailed, the MWIS forecast at lunchtime Thursday has made us decide to wait on events and hope things will be better in Scotland on 24th/25th.
However after a fairly rough day on all mountains on Saturday, the Sunday forecast for the Lake District is a fine, sunny start although it will be cold and windy with fresh snow on the ground. Cloud gradually comes in from the West in the afternoon.
So there will be a nice winter day to be had in the Lakes, best in the east side, and I'll propose leaving York at 7.30 am Sunday
