Dear all,

Friday night saw five YMC sardines pack into silver can! Full speed ahead Mercedes-Maclaren style, Eccles and Walkinton playing chauffeur.
Pitstop at the truck stop then no stop till a full stop at Inverness's top shop stop!!!!............................. bet Leif can't say that whilst playing his pipes!
Accommodation was 1st class and worked out at £3.75 per person per night. Thanks to the pipe blowers bro'.
Saturday saw an early start leaving Inverness at 7.30am a call to Harrison confirmed Kelly, Julie and He were only 10min behind. They had opted to stop at Fireman Sam's bothy.
Our target destination was Sgurr Breac and A' Chailleach, we parked the car at 8.20am and put on our battle dress.
We soon discovered Harrison's 10 min was elasticised. We doubled it then added some and admired the view added some more time, then said bollocks, revved up and F'ed off thinking Harrison must have had a better offer.

We set off in an anti clockwise soon deciding clockwise looked better due to a real life bridge not fully shown on the map.

Mean will Harrison was actually only 5min behind, and going like the clappers to catch us up..... errr .... in a anti clockwise direction! Doh... Sorry mate!

This weekend my legs were shorter than every one else's... yes they were! ................ OK that's my excuse!
Sunday saw an even earlier start, leaving Inverness at 7am in an attempt to beat the rain and severe wind forecast for the afternoon.
Fionn Beinn was our goal, the third Fannaich on our Fannaich Fest weekend.
<>We left Achnasheen in the dry but not for long. We took the Allt Achadh na Sine route ( that's a wee burn to you and me!) We may as well have walked in it because we would not have got any wetter!
The wind, rain and clag all beat us to the summit.............bugger!
Too windy to stand at the summit never mind play the bag pipes so we beat a hasty retreat and swam back to the car.
We were down by mid day and even old short legs had beaten book time for the second day running.

<>Tea at Dunkeld, next stop York.

Thanks to all for a great weekend, here's to the next one.

Simon
